About the Program

Early Reading Academy is an initiative to help kids as early as 3 years old and up to address reading skills concern for both English and Filipino languages. It was officially launched on October 22, 2021. Early Reading Program (which is under ERA umbrella) has 2 stages that mainly focuses on English language.

The first edition of the book: Early Reading Program – Casa level A has taught more than 300 kids in Abu Dhabi alone and approximately 500 across UAE and Philippines in total. The effectivity of the program has made a lot of parents satisfied as their kids have been more active in school activities. According to them, they get feedback from teachers/trainers such as their kids can already read simple and even longer words compared to before they were not enrolled to the program.

What’s New:

The book, Early Reading Program – Foundation Stage is now the 2nd Edition. It is the complete overhaul from the previous version for the kids with difficulty identifying letters and sounds. As the number of enrollees has been growing, we have noticed that majority of the kids on their 1st day of the program are not yet aware with phonics and phonemes. As a response, we changed the order of lessons from the easiest letters to the most difficult ones. It is embedded as well with tracing activity for better recognition and retention between lowercase and uppercase letters. We use the idea of anagram wherein the words as examples in every lesson include only with the focused letter and the letters from the past lessons. Blending letters until they read a whole word will be more engaging for kids. We have added also checklists to track what student needs to improve and recommendation from the trainer after the kid finishes the program.

The academy has never been more excited than now with the book’s new features. The said revision becomes possible because of collected execution techniques from ERA trainers, and real-time exchanges of feedback from parents and trainers about their kids’ reading growth. We pride the intention of SRK and ERA team — to educate the young minds and better the clients’ experience.
